What is Earthing? What is its importance?‘Earthing’ or ‘Grounding’ is an electrical term, which means an electrical connection to the general mass of the earth to provide safe passage to the fault current. Earthing/Grounding is necessary to eliminate electrostatic discharge which can destroy sensitive equipment and disrupt power supply.
